So long.. for now.

I think this is going to be my last post for quite some time before I gonna blog again..
Why?

1) I'm going to stay-over at my grandma's house from next week onwards till the end of prelims. Possibly till the end of A levels as well I suppose. I can't study at home..
My dad and sis = gg my concentration, however high it may be.
2) My dad claimed "YOU ARE A PIECE OF SHIT. YOU PLAY TOO MUCH. GO TO HELL. YOU DISGRACE TO THE CHOO FAMILY... blah blah blah" and confiscated the house internet modem (I'm currently koping other's internet connection via wifi to post this.. shh...)

Yeah. That's about it I suppose..

Anyway, Ying Xiao has decided to re-invent himself since the "Chicken Man" happened (refer to previous post, quite some time ago). Now he's the.. What?

Failed attempt to be a Muslim woman.

Oi look up la brother.

Ah yes, he's now a ninja wanna-be. Oh and that's Ryan sleeping there. Haha

Today is a sad day indeed. Last day blogging for quite some time + I got to return this book!! Apparently this is the last official school week for J2s and I'm NOT going to travel back to school so I got to return this book...

Fun stuff.
Don't give me that look again please -.-"

It teaches you stuff like graph theory, Eulerian cycles, etc.. Seriously. Very interesting.. I gonna borrow it again after A levels or after prelims =)

Lemme end it off with a set of song lyrics.. Kinda reflect what I feel like telling my dad. Especially those italicised. Zzz

Edit: Eh.. practically everything -.-"

Song Name: Shut Up
Band Name: Simple Plan

Youtube video of - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UztpFPn2Q-Q

Lyrics from: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/simpleplan/shutup.html

"Shut Up"

There you go
You're always so right
It's all a big show
It's all about you

You think you know
What everyone needs
You always take time
To criticize me

It seems like everyday
I make mistakes
I just can't get it right

It's like I'm the one
You love to hate
But not today

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

There you go
You never ask why
It's all a big lie
Whatever you do

You think you're special
But I know, and I know
And I know, and we know
That you're not

You're always there to point
Out my mistakes
And shove them in my face

It's like I'm the one
You love to hate
But not today

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down
Is gonna bring me down

Will never bring me down

Don't tell me who I should be
And don't try to tell me what's right for me
Don't tell me what I should do
I don't wanna waste my time
I'll watch you fade away

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

Shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

Bring me down
{shut up, shut up, shut up}
Won't bring me down
{shut up, shut up, shut up}
Bring me down
{shut up, shut up, shut up}
Won't bring me down

Shut up, shut up, shut up

Beijing Olympics 2008 - Ping Pong. China vs. China Reserve Team.

Ya Ha!
Its time for another commentary on a Beijing Olympics Game.

This time, its the most anticipated game in Singapore... Singapore's bid for a gold - In Ping Pong - with Li Jia Wei and Tianwei. Come to think of it, they're both China PRs.. Most would say they're "people who didn't make it in China and came to Singapore", others call the majority of Singapore's Olympic team "The China Reserve Team". Personally, I don't really care. But I definitely prefer true blue Singaporeans winning something.. C'mon man.. We can do this.

Fight 1 - Feng Tian Wei (SG) vs. Wang Nan (PRC)
Scoreboard:
11-9 (1-0)
3-11 (1-1)
8-11 (1-2)
6-11 (1-3) PRC WINS

Comments:
Just like my absolute prediction. SG will lose 1-3, only due to human error on China's part.

Tianwei can't handle smashes.. apparently.. Though she won the 1st match, it was hard fought, and with much human error from Wang Nan.

Wang Nan reminds me of Huang Na -.-"
Lol la.. I was on BNET shouting "WANG NAN GO BACK TO YOUR GRAVE! DONT MAKE ME GET THE MALAYSIAN GUY TO SCREW YOU AND CHOP YOU UP AGAIN!"... still we lost anyway haha.

Fight 2 - Li Jia Wei (SG) vs. Zhang Yi Ning (PRC)
Scoreboard:
11-9 (1-0)
3-11 (1-1)
4-11 (1-2)
7-11 (1-3) PRC WINS

Comments:
This match definitely the most fierce and interesting.. I had this impression since I heard Li Jia Wei playing.. Wa.. just how old is she? I think I heard her name since Primary school days.. and she still looks damn young and pretty on TV.. Sia la..

The commenter said "They (Jia Wei and Yining) were friends when they were very young".. Pain sia.. I would never wanna fight my friend in Finals.. Why can't we just have a friendly match =(

During the 1st time-out, the China team was discussing strategy to win back Li Jia Wei from 10-8. Guess what's Li Jia Wei was doing? She was clipping and re-arranging her hair, while nodding to the coach. Rofl.. Cool sia..

Anyway, I think their match has the best point play in this match between SG and China. The 3rd round, 2nd (or was it 3rd) point play.. Smashes after smashes.. smashes returned by smashes.. around 5~7 smashes before it finally ended.. You can practically hear the crowd ooo-ing and ahh-ing.. Sia la! Damn imba and nice to see!

Fight 3 - Li Jia Wei & Wang Yue Gu (SG) vs. Zhang Yi Ning & Guo Yue(PRC)
Scoreboard:
8-11 (0-1)
5-11 (0-2)
6-11 (0-3) PRC WINS

Comments:
Ah damn. Didn't really watch.. Was playing BNET with Justin. Pif. Anyway, a few glimpses when I turned my head was enough to tell me it was quite a close fight I suppose.. Pretty good teamwork and stuff.. Nice smashes, nice slicings, nice spins.

And you know I was just bullshitting all those generic comments out. Bleh. I give up. I didn't really watch it so nothing much to comment on this.. But I know we lost. That's all.

Lol la. I guess China still the Top eh. But not bad for a 2nd I suppose... Considering we have nothing so close before. FIRST SILVER MEDAL SINCE INDEPENDENCE BABY!

Good job Team Singapore. Or if you prefer "Jiayou China Reserve Team!" XD

Hefty spending on food in 1 dinner + ESS Econs Talk

[Back]

YES A PIECE OF SCRAP PAPER AS ENTRY PROOF...
not to mention they didn't even ask for it throughout the whole thing -.-"

Ah heck.. The talk was quite interesting la.. The 2nd talk was funny. At the start the presenter gave us an "introduction" ppt..

http://www.scribd.com/doc/2074315/Subprime-Primer?query2=subprime%20primer%20.ppt

Since he works in MAS, while reading it out (its obviously too small for us to see), he intentionally replaced all the crude words... the last few parts are the funniest.. keep replacing "f**k" by "mess" and say it out loud to get the effect =P

"They.. messed up."
"We.. messed up."
"You... messed up."
"MESS YOU!"
"MESS YOU TOO!"

Lol.

The food they gave... One word. Shit. What's with the tasteless (seriously NO TASTE, not even potato taste, its like eating paper) hash browns and SOGGY bread, not to mention... THERE IS NO SPOON, no not the matrix one.. Spoons ran out super fast I had to eat rice with a fork >.<

Ah yes, another bad thing about the talk is the super long and boring Indian speaker who is supposed to introduce for the following 2 speeches.. Right at the start he said "I am not the main speaker, I'm just here to give a brief introduction", and he dragged on and on for a good 30min~1hr.. Basket.. All of us got freaking bored -.-"

This is what happens when I get bored...

You probably can't see.. but its a whole load of doodling..

An attempt to draw the Indian "not-main" speaker...
Gave up when I started on the mouth.. Made him look like a vampire and his ears were somehow pointy.. so heck. Lets transform him into a elfish vampire. RAWR!

And oh.. there's a case of a ninja photographer...
Can you spot him in the following pictures?

Argh. I'm weakening.. Nyuuu... + GIC Scholarship Talk =\

Played too much with Justin, his cousin and Wen Quan then forgot to blog about for yesterday. Rofl.

Thursday 14/8/08

YAY!! Computing Coursework is FINALLY over! No more late night coding and seeing stressed faces and people becoming moody in class (at least I hope so...)

Bleh. That's just a side point. The main point for this is the weakening state of me. No not him, no not you, yes me =(

Thursday Mass PE is another usual full court basketball game because NAPFA is over. Lol.. No more "army boy" training. Bye Mr Goh XD

Anyway, usually I can run in the whole game without feeling extremely tired, not till the extent that I have to keep walking from 1 end of the court to another during offence/defence.. This week, Wei Xiong (do I have to intro who he is? lol) decided to play also.. After the "oh ya beh ya som!", Hao Qing and Wei Xiong were made captains and Hao Qing chose me 1st -.-"

Wth. Out of everyone he chose me first.. Bah heck. Nvm. I shall test and train myself against Wei Xiong rofl.. Should be quite fun.. I usually manage to piss off people who are better than me by persistently sticking to them and denying them from balls. This time, however, Wei Xiong's playing style is hardly the same, he doesn't give a hoot if he's the one who puts the ball into the net or not, and I don't see him getting irritated at all =\

Anyway, when he was passed the ball, immediately I tried to steal or block him.. But what the heck was I thinking.. Trying to defend against someone who run 2.4km in less than 9minutes.. After chasing him for 3 balls or so, I totally cannot do anything else for the rest of the game.. I was practically walking from one end of the court to another during offence/defence.. I can't even box out opponent rebounders (which I usually fare decently well in), let alone jump higher -.-"

Basket. So this is the difference in physical huh. Just like Monta vs. Taka. One with shit talent and another with imba talent. How to win? So far (in the comic Eyeshield21 that is) Monta only won ONCE because of Sena's assist and because he's been spamming training since primary school. Gah. One day I tell you. One day I'll dunk for you all to see.

Friday 15/8/08

When I was sent this email to sign up for the GIC Scholarship Talk on Friday, a few weeks back, I immediately signed up.

You probably must be thinking either one of the following:
"WAH. Davin so hiong ar.."
"WAH. Davin so kiasu ar.."
"WAH. Davin so active in scholarship talks ar.."
"WAH. Davin... -.-" "

But let me tell you the truth. It should be..
"WAH. Davin so smart ar! Get to pon TRIPLE econs + GP."

Hehe. Best plan ever right XD

Anyway, here's some pictures I took lol..

The place where 2 GIC employees (both TJC alumni) shared about their experiences in GIC.
The first speaker was quite entertaining haha.

The screen which was never used, the goodie bag (which has like 2 books about GIC and a notebook), and a bottle. They gave another short and cute Evian bottle before we came here rofl.

Yay reception. FOOOOD.. Looks like a mee monster huh. RAWR... I love bee hoon with ikan bilis... No actually I don't really like it. Its the only thing there to eat lol.

And the scenery is nice.. Come on, we're on the 38th floor?

Hey look! On the far right is the new 50-storey HDB estate called Duxton... which means my HDB estate is just right behind it.. lol.. Guess I can walk home later. My turn to laugh at all teh people who live in the east and laughed when I said I lived in Outram XD

Lol. CPF never lets us run away from its control huh.. Legal money leecher >.<

Ah btw.. Just came back from Funan.. Lol la.. long time no see chilli packets... And guess what sia. No more "GARLIC" in front of the "CHILLI".. and its now ORANGE in colour instead of YELLOW.. Oh well..

Beijing Olympics 2008 ^^

Wooo.. Here comes Olympics.

Games I watched:
- Soccer: Argentina vs Australia

Siao siao. Argentina super super aggressive, while Australia's defence is superb.
It's like Wild Gunmen vs Oujou Knights (those who read Eyeshield21 would know what I meant).

Argentina had possession of the ball at least 70% of the time. But Australia mass-defence it seems, the majority of their players (except 1~3) were always on their half of the field -.-"

But the Aussie goal-keeper is good, in my opinion... I kept thinking Argentina's goalie is shit, then I saw him jump and saved a ball from going out (which will result in a corner kick)....
CRAZY LA THAT GUY. His arms super super long.. He reminds me of Taka in Eyeshield21 -.-"

Enough said. Argentina won 1-0 with a good teamplay of passing and finally scoring at around 77min.

- Basketball: USA vs China

DIE DIE must watch rofl. Stayed up from 12~2am to watch, lucky Monday no school. Thanks MOE! XD

China's team only Yao Ming can dunk properly. And he does it by HOPPING. Yes you heard me. His feet left the ground by at most 1cm on my TV screen, and he dunked... But then, the whole of USA's team can dunk -.-"

Apparently, USA sent their youth (i.e. noobish) team last olympic and got thrashed, so US got damn pissed and this time sent all the NBA players. Lol...

That game the USA like playing with China players.. Though China was leading in the 1st half of 1st quarter with 3-pointers, USA didn't even look panicky.

Look at USA's roster:
Lebron, Byrant, Wade, Kidd, Redd, Bosh, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Anthony, Howard, and 2 others.

China? I only know Yao Ming. Another notably good player is number 11. Besides that, I don't see any -.-"

China can only bank on 3-pointers since they are too weak (seriously, they're as thin as me, while compared to their USA counterparts), and too short to choing in to dunk. While their 3-pointers scored them a lot and gave them an edge over USA's 2-point dunks, China's stamina is super shit compared to USA's. They sub like free like that, while the USA substituted less than 10 times in the whole game if I remember correctly... As the game progressed, China's 3-pointer accurancy dropped and dropped.

In the end, the score was 101-70, USA won. Like DUH -.-"

TJC National Day Celebration

Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! =D

Okay, now can poke fun at the celebration.
The overall performance was not bad la.. The emcees were funny.
The first performance was an external band. Seriously, our school sound system is @#$%^&*(
Can tell they're not bad one, but then due to our powderful sound system, we can't hear what the singer is singing =(

Anyway, that's not the main focus of this performance.. Something else happened in the hall that caused loads of people turning their heads and laughing (their asses off.. if they could.. they can't because we're all sitting on the floor)...

Something like this:

LOL! Tissue paper in the ears. Way to go our ageing stuttering Math teacher.

After that we had some student created videos blah blah blah.. Then came Wushu performance.. Somehow they always fit Wushu in ANY celebration -.-

Anyway, this is the first time I see a Wushu guy with FAN. As far as I know, fan is a 'weapon' that girls train in...

Oh, and he dropped his fan during the performance XD

Ah well... anyway, I finally got off my lazy bum and compiled the Project Can "Just For Laughs".. Enjoy! (actually also not much to enjoy, only 2 people got scared.. The Can Man was too nice to scare more people.. he was stoning half the time or "meowing" and acting cute >.<)

Remember to turn up your volume! XD

Bleh. Apparently some words are too small to be seen on this puny screen...
Victim #1: Never talk to stranger cans (even when your mum tells you to)
Victim #2: Never look behind a can

Ah thanks ar Austin.

Thanks ar Austin..

Rules of Engagement:
  • People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs.
  • Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by.
  • Continue this game by sending it to other people.

#1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
Er.. Stun, then emo, then get over it.

#2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
Hm.. To have a very lucky life. Life is all about luck. Everything you do is luck =P

#3. What will your dream wedding be like?
Bah, a repeated qn. In summary, one that my wife and me would both like.

#4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Sorta. I'm still unsure what I wanna be, so my mum is like "BE A TEACHER!". So i'm like "ok =\"

Then I overheard her in a conversation with my dad "I want to be a mum of a teacher".
Then I'm like -.-"

#5. What’s your ideal lover like?
Don't have to be a knock-out beauty (though that's a bonus), just pleasing to the eyes. Someone who is not a total idiot. Someone who is naturally lovable and cute.
Act cute = Suck. Just look around and see those who act cute -.-

#6. Which is more blessed? Loving someone or being loved by someone?
Sian. Another same qn as Winston's tag. Er.. Lemme Copy Paste...

Well, frankly speaking. Depends. Loving someone always feels nice. But if the person doesn't reciprocate after a looooong time or she ignores you PURPOSELY and that kind of stuff, of course not good la.. Gorden and me can hold testimonial to this =\

Being loved is often said to be better. But you see ar.. You must try to understand why people sometimes reject others. They don't like the person "chasing" him/her what.. If you are being loved by someone you loathe or hate, you tell me how you feel blessed? You'll feel more like dying...

Actually ar.. I think the best is still BOTH people zhun zhun love each other =)
But then again, hasn't happened in my life before, so I can only "think".. cannot confirm =(

#7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?
How to say.. usually I wait. and wait. and wait. Then the person get attached. I'm just too humji to initiate -.-

#8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Forget it. Imagine if someone breaks up your relationship. How'd you like it?

#9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Many things. Mostly family issues and being pissed at my own un-productivity.. zzz

#10. Is being tagged fun?
Once, yes. Twice NO. Do you have how much idea how long I spend typing this? -.-

#11. How do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Hm.. hard to say leh. I uncertain about the future. Lol.

#12. Who are currently the most important people to you?
Another repeat qn.. zzz
Time for copy paste again..

Erm. My mum (no not my dad, seriously). My sis (she insisted I add when she saw me typing this. She was practically whining XD).

My very close friends who won't mind whatever stupid things I do or say, such as Justin, Wen Quan, Winston, etc. (if you're not here, you're not impt to me... Lol jk. Just not important enough to come to my mind in the first second I saw this question)

How I wish I can write my girlfriend's/wife's name here. But nope. Single still >.<

#13. What kind of person do you think the one who tagged you is?
Someone who just ignored me because he was fixing his eyes on Yuxian. Same for Yuxian, totally ignore me. I was waving like mad la -.-

#14. Would you rather be rich and single or married but poor?
So many repeat questions.. copying..

Can I choose married AND rich? Haha.. Well seriously, I wouldn't want my loved one to suffer if I decide to marry her. I'll either slog myself out or not marry her and let her marry someone else rich and give her a good life.

#15. What’s the first thing you do every morning?
Drink water. Lol. Habit I suppose. I always sleep with a bottle of water next to me. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty.

#16. Would you give it all in a relationship?
Yes, at 5% level of significance.

#17. If you fall in love with 2 people simultaneously, who would you pick?
ANOTHER ONE?! Zzzz.. copying...

How's that supposed to happen? -.-
Anyway, if that happens, see which one respond back first =)

#18. What type of friends do you like?
Friends are friends. They are what they are.

#19. What type of friends do you dislike?
Why will I be their friends if I dislike them? I'll just be their "classmate", etc.
Want an example? Sure. Ruishan is my classmate, not my friend.
(sry RS, i'm very open one, and you know that i dislike you openly, just that i dont bring it to a level of action)

NO ONE. I'm not that evil to make ppl do double -.-

A bitter experience

Met up with Kheng and Fann at Mac for dinner. As I was early and frantic to book a spot for the 3 of us at the super crowded Mac, I quickly kope a seat and ordered a cup of coffee (no point eating first then watch them eat right...) while I read my Newsweek =\

My cup of tea!

Sry, I meant my cup of coffee.
No wait, its a CUP of CAPPuccino.

Anyway, it was my first ever cup of cappuccino (or any thing related to coffee, as a matter of fact) in my life. I always hated bitter stuff and always pondered and fascinated at why people love coffee and cappuccinos so much.. So heck. Lemme give it a shot since I got to use it to "steal" some seats anyway...

OMG la.. so bitter. The bitterest (ignore the fact that the word doesn't exist) thing I have ever tasted! I am so proud that I managed to finish it -.-"

I don't see what's so nice about coffee and cappuccinos after all. Bleh.
Maybe coffee is just not my cup of tea XD

This Old Man... Aiya, don't judge a person by his appearance

Went to eat KFC before my guitar lesson at Funan.. Sort of running late already.. 15minute to finish eating a Zinger Student Meal. Hm.. How to do that given my amazing record of slow-eating >.<

Heck! Just order first then find seat...
Lalala..

"Zinger Student Meal, give me mountain dew, don't want ice, and change the whipped potato to regular fries. Thanks"

Alright! Meal acquired. Now to find a seat.. Hm...
*scans the area*

Ah hah! I see an old man taking up 2 seats (apparently his bag took up one =\)

[In Chinese]
"Hello uncle, got people sit here? Can I sit?"

Before I could finish my sentence, he nearly went into a fit and started shaking his head violently and shoo-ing me away while shouting some weird words which I can't decipher. I was thinking like "Woah.. ok chill.. nvm i go find other seat, no need so violent reaction right.."

Damn la. 10 minutes left.. Zzzz

*scans KFC again, with 1 hand holding my guitar and the other balancing the tray -.-*

Yay. Someone's leaving!
As I walked nearer, 2 malays already reached the table.. Crap. Nvm, lemme ask them if can share..

HOLY CRAP. They look gangster-ish and stuff, and they don't look friendly at all -.-
Oh no.... Then I looked at my watch, 10minutes left. NOOOOO.. heck la, just ask.

"Hi excuse me, how many people do you all have?"
"2?"
"Ah, can I share this 4seat table with you?"
"Sure, why not?"

Woah. They actually damn friendly la! Rofl. The guy talking to me felt like Mr. Fazli.. he was oozing with that kind of friendliness sia.. The other guy just sat there and played his PSP and blasted music like nobody's business. Maybe its just a malay thing to do, not all people who blast music are paikia (bad boys). *Shrug*

After eating, I thanked them for sharing (in my desperate attempt not to be late) the table with me. The Mr Fazli-lookalike (no wait, more like talkalike or feelalike) was still smiling at me lah! Waa...

See ar people..
This old man, he played one, he played knick knack on my thumb, with a knick-knack paddywhack, I found a new table. This old man went rolling home alone.

Okay, ignore that failed attempt to adapt the children song "This old man" -.-
Just remember.. Don't judge a person by his looks/appearance =)
