Mmm... Cupcakes.

Woke up by my mum this morning and the first thing she said was (translated) "Ah boy ar. Later you make cupcakes hor. Yesterday I make till left 1 more batch. The ingredients all there liao. You go finish it up."

Hm. K. Since I was bored anyway (my dad refused to let me use the computer -.-")

Might as well tell you guys how to make it, so you guys can make it at home =\

Erm.. I'm not quite sure about the exact amount of ingredients. I never prepare them anyway. I always just make use of what my mum gives XD

I'll update it if I remember to ask my mum about the exact amounts haha.

Ingredients:

Pack of Ground Almond

Chocolate/Rainbow rice grain (or whatever topping you want)

Self-Raising Flour

Artificial Vanilla Flavour (or whatever flavour you want)

Slab of butter

Eggs

Sugar

Container to hold the cupcakes

Steps:

1) Smash/Melt the slab of butter and stir

2) Add in sugar and stir till the sugar looks evenly spread out in the butter

Ideally, it should look creamy-white like this:

3) Add eggs and stir well

Looks like tau hui lol..

Looks much better now =D

4) Add flour slowly and stir well

(unless your arm is super strong and you are confident that you can mix a whole lot of flour with the mixture properly)

5) Add almond and stir well

6) Add vanilla essence and stir well (yes, stir well once again.. lol)

The bottle of "artificial vanilla flavour"!

1 spoonful will do... But if u want more "vanilla taste", then add more. Duh!

7) Pour in the mixture into the container

(don't put too much or you might end up with a tumour cupcake! Remember there's self-raising flour inside!)

I put 5x5... then my mum said "NO YOU! Waste space!"...

... And this is what happened -.-"

8) Add chocolate/rainbow rice garins as topping

9) Put it into the oven till it becomes golden-brown in colour!

Use a toothpick to poke it. Make sure that the cupcake is NOT sticky like the mixture

10) And... YOU"RE DONE!

Interesting tip:
You know the triangularish thingy bakers in bakeries use to squeeze cake toppings or cream out neatly? Wanna know how to make one yourself? Easy!

All you need it a plastic bag and a pair of scissors!

Step 1: Get a plastic bag and a pair of scissors (well duh.)

Step 2: Cut a hole in the plastic bag on the sealed end (preferably the corner)

Step 3: Fill in the mixture into the plastic bag from the open end and.. tada!

See the small triangular cut in the centre?

that's the first version I made.. then I realised its better to cut the corner instead =\

Finally done.

Phew. Finally updated everything. Yay.

Prelims results have been trickling out one by one.. Everyone is having mixed feelings. Generally pissed and sad though.. I haven't seen someone anyone who's happy about his/her results.. Either fail or "not good enough".. Oh well.. Sigh.. How to comfort people? I have no skills. Bleh. If only I knew how..

I shall only reveal all my results next Tuesday when all the results come out then.. No point one by one =\

A One-Month Journey - Intro

Yay! Prelims finally over. Finally I'm back home with my laptop and back to technology. Initially, it was me who proposed this arrangement as I haven't been studying much, so I was hoping 2 weeks of solid revision is going to save me. Having experienced 1 month of no technology (besides my handphone which battery always die after calling for 20~30min), I've experienced quite an eventful month... IF you saw me online, it was probably my dad watching movies using my laptop. Anyway, throughout the month, I've been "blogging" on my phone, saving my thoughts as "draft SMS".

Now, I shall spam ya all what happened!

I've decided to break up the whole thing into 5 parts.

Went back to DHS to visit teachers, and of course played bball with the others.. Sian la! This year like no one come back like that. We had to play 3v3.. Probably all mugging for prelims -.-"

Brings back memories.. Sigh. Didn't bump into ruijie, so didn't get dragged back to HPPS haha.. Actually the only primary school teacher I would like to find is my english teacher, Ms Ng.. The rest not that close to me =\

Sunday - 31/8
Sent message to perk up peeps and encourage them to jiayou. Thought people would say the "starhub" part was lame/funny. I thought wrong. Blah.

A One-Month Journey - Week 2

(1/9 ~ 7/9)

Monday - 1/9

Apparently some people just can't see the "reserved" and "no parking" which is put obviously in red..

Around 11am+, I was accompanying my grandma to buy lunch. While crossing the road, something hit my head from above, then I started bleeding. All the uncles and aunties gossip and gossip. Some say bee/wasp. Some say crow. I myself felt as if some huge ball/fruit hit my head. Apparently there's a huge cut. Doctor suggest stitch because the cut is too big and it might continue bleeding and its hard for the blood to clot. But my grandma said no need so the doctor cleaned my wound and covered it up for me. He said "this medication might hurt", but somehow I don't feel additional pain. I guess the pain from the wound was overlapping the pain from the medication huh. He then prescribed me a cleaning agent, a lotion to apply and painkillers.

This thing gimme a throbbing headache sia.. I still have no idea how bad the wound is. I can't see it, and I dont know if its going to have any damage to my brain..

But lucky whatever hit me hit me, if hit my grandma.. then really cham..

Can't really see the wound.. my hair's quite thick, haven't cut for 1 month already:

Just cleaned my wound and applied cream. My grandma just came back home. According to her friend, my wound is because I'm too heaty, then my blood vein burst, so blood ooze out.. LOL la.. She actually believed.. My grandma can be so naive.. So cute. Haha.. Its so hilarious that even my auntie who overheard kept laughing..

Tuesday - 2/9

I'm officially irritated by this household opposite my room window.

11pm you're awake. Fine. 1am? No wait.. 4am, 5am you're still awake? Wth.. Even if you really don't sleep, mind using curtains or using a less glaring light like the apartment below yours?

Wednesday - 3/9

My sis came over to stay till Friday when she goes on a cruise with my mom, auntie and cousin, while I can't go because I got prelims. Nice -.-"

My hair has "fixed shape" liao.. Its like permanently right parting, thanks to the hairclips my sister lent me, so that I can keep my hair away from the wound.

Lol looks so wierd. Btw have a look at the blood clot right of the hairclip =\

After Econs tuition in the morning (special arrangement lol), I went to Marine Parade library to study with Wen Quan and Justin. WQ thought I was using gel for the 1st time in my life. Hey! Not bad.. I should extract my scalp cells and sell my "hair gel" to make a neat profit =P

Thursday - 4/9

Today my grandma found out that some newspaper delivery boy delivered newspaper to us (accidentally). She just took it and asked me to read.. I was like "er ah ma, return?" then she say "return to who? Not here liao", then she started scolding the delivery boy for his failure and poor job attitude. Lol.. So hilarious. Lol.. My sis and me kept laughing behind our notes.

I was quite bored so I decided to test if mentos + sprite gives the same reaction as mentos + coke. What a letdown. Coke wins.

Friday - 5/9

No error delivery today. Guess he realised his mistake =P

My hair is getting too oily and long. Buay tahan. Gotta cut and wash my hair. My auntie recommend "the barbershop at the corner" because got discount, $4.80 per cut. Wah really ar? K lor..

When I reached, I checked the price. Really $4.80, then I look at the promotion period - "Starts 1/4/08". Eh? Now still valid? Heck. Just try. Lol.

My hairdresser is a dude called Jimmy. While cutting my hair, he kept telling me my hair is oily, if go on will bald.. my hair full of dandruff, if liddat go on will tio skin disease... Wah lau, just 1 haircut you no need scare me till like that right.. Lol..

And hey! Its really $4.80.

Saturday - 6/9

Went for NVPC's annual Volunteer-A-Day (VAD). Had a mass group ice-breaker session and briefing before we were split up into the 4 different organisations we volunteering in.

This year, NVPC collaborated with "MINDS", "Singapore Disability Sports Council", "All Saints Home", and "Waterway Watch Society".

Last year, I chose NParks to help them catch monkey-feeders and conduct survey. Quite fun. This year I picked WWS to take part in their bike patrol to keep the future marina bay reservoir clean and hopefully change the mindset of people so they don't anyhow litter and will protect the environment. Quite fun too. Its like a free 1hr bike rental, minus the "no cycling" tunnels in the area. Lol.

Sunday - 7/9

Bored while eating lunch. Saw an apple. Spun it. Quite fascinating. Took a video of it.

Went bedok library in the evening to read some GP stuff. Halfway through, this young boy, who looks like he studys in primary school, sits down beside me with 2 computing books "Mac OS X Leopard" and "The Fat Man on GAME AUDIO"... Sia la. For all you know, I'm revising GP right next to the future next bill gates or sim yong woo. Lol..

Ate dinner then relocated to a table seat. Got 2 girls sitting opposite me studying computing.. I peeked at one of their notes.

Week 3 (8/9 ~ 14/9)

Monday - 8/9

First day of prelims.. And I was late. Meh! Having GP then Math.

For GP compo, I only studied poverty and tech. There wasnt poverty, so I had to do tech. Oh well.. Quite good actually, though I ran short of time and could only write 3 content paragraphs. Zzz

As for compre, the questions were so-so. AQ was shit -.-

Then came math, my favorite subject! I was thinking "Set ar! Own in Math to cover the misery in GP".. End up I cant do 19m worth of questions. Wth.

Must be the invigilator lol.. Spoil mood. She severe PMS or something. Every small thing also scold. I was holding the piece of string when she was reading out the instructions "Do not open the booklet until you are told to do so..." Then she suddenly stopped and stared in my direction. At first I thought she looking at someone behind me.. But then she started moving closer to me. So I lifted up my hands and the string in my hands and gave her a questioning look. Then she snapped at me "You don't understand instructions is it?" Lol la wth. Which part of your instruction say cannot touch strings >.<

Wednesday - 10/9

Computing yesterday was... Er.. No comments.

Physics paper 3 today was crap. Because I can't recall 2 formulas, I lost the subsequent 18 marks, in 2 questions. Plus a few careless mistakes here and there. 1/4 of my paper 3 marks gone =(

Friday - 12/9

After Physics paper 2 ended, I was to collect a whole bag of mooncake from my grandma to bring home. And then I plan to get a headset with mic so can skype with clanmates during inhses. Asked yunie and mel where they got theirs, both say sim lim. Yunie's $14, mel's $18. So I was preparing to fork out around $20 or less..

Then after I collected mooncake, I met up with justin and wenquan to go lan lol.. They suggest we go cash converter and check out for the headset first though, and we did. Sia la! They got sell... I always thought the things they resell are crap. Actually got first-hand stuff too =\

Spotted 2 headsets, $3 and $10. The $3 looks suspicious and the salesgirl don't let me test, so I got the $10 one. Whee...

After that, we decided to catch a movie at "princess" since its $5 nia and we were bored. The nearest screening was "Wall-E" at 1.30pm. Its quite nice and funny. The type where you will hear my laughter in the whole theatre. But let me tell you what's the funniest.. Princess uses projector slides for "please switch off your handphones", "please do not litter", etc.. They even have a slide to advertise "please contact ___ for slide advertisements". LOL!

Sunday - 14/9

Mid-autumn festival is here!

I wonder what happened. I don't see, smell or feel any kind of fire. Oh well...

Week 4 (15/9 ~ 21/9)

Monday - 15/9

I think I'm sick. My right nostril is perma stuck. My throat feels dry even after drinking 2 bottles of plain water within 10 minutes, and I'm aching all over. Bleh.

Today's math paper 2 was seemingly a breeze. I (thought that I) had only 1 question part, the probability question, part 3, which I did wrongly and I thought of the answer only after "time's up". LIke I said, the focus is "seemingly". Upon discussion with justin and wenquan about the paper, either I get it all right and they get it all wrong or I get it all wrong and they get it all right -.-"

Wednesday - 17/9

Despair.

The worst piece of paper I ever sat for in my entire life so far. I totally couldn't do 32 out of 60 marks worth of questions. All hopes of getting C or better for econs was dashed. Gone. Poof, like meepo.

What caused it didn't really matter. Bad flu, stomachache, watching TV from 7pm~9pm, then from 10pm to 10.30pm, studying only 1hr, going school early to study but end up not doing so, or what not. The script has been handed in. History cannot be undone. "Past is prologue" as Shakespeare says. Maybe I should stop thinking of excuses why I screwed it up -.-"

Computing tomorrow better not be comparable to this. Physics MCQ on friday better be doable as well. Can't afford another screwed up subject.

Thursday - 18/9

Feelings are fickle but powerful sources of empowerment or demoralisation. They can make you stronger or cripple you, all in that instant.

Woah. So chim. Kk. Anyway that's what I felt after I sat down at the comic shop below my grandma house and read for 1 hour. Moments before, I was totally devastated at how much I have yet to master. Computing Paper 2 was yet another killer paper. 1 more tomorrow and it'll be a "killing spree".

I hate it when people categorise or stereotype me. To people like darryl, I'm supposed to be some sort of genius who's infallible. He even threatened to bash me up after I said I didn't know half the computing paper. At that instant, it feels like he's dropping stones into a well I fell into. How nice.

C'mon man. I WISHED I am a genius.

Friday - 19/9

RAWR! Its finally over. And how lucky am I that it ended off on a good note. Now I can go and enjoy myself for the weekend without feeling guilty. Yay. Kk. First off, sleep now. Gonna play tong xiao (i.e. overnight) tonight with my clan. Hehe.

Heard on TV about "games convention asia", quite interesting, wanted to go, but justin and wenquan not interested. Decided not to go alone. Bah.

Had guitar lesson as usual. Last few lesson before I stop liao. I didn't have time to practice for the past whole month. No point sia. Might as well continue after A's.

On my way back, 2 out of 3 buses that I can take left the bus stop when I was across the road. Noooooo -.-"

Then again, it might be a blessing in disguise. I talent-spotted a future dancer/pop-icon, you might even call her the next pussy cat doll (without the "s", she's solo). Judge for yourself:

I better stop or this gonna take forever to upload. She started dancing more than 10min ago before I started video-ing, and she's still at it after I stopped. All the way till her bus came and her mum dragged her up the bus. She train so hard sia. Lol.
